For Our Good

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28).

The truth of Romans 8:28 reminds us that although sin and Satan are powerful, God is more powerful; He is able to redeem and restore anything for our good and His glory. All things may not be good, but God can and will use all things for our good.
A wise Bible teacher once told me, “God allows everything into our lives for one of two purposes—either to bring us into a relationship with himself or, if we already know him, to make us more like His Son.” There are times when you will be faced with a situation that may not be favorable, and you may ask, why would God allow this to happen to me? The question instead, should be, why not me? But our human nature will cause us to question God. I believe that whenever we face a difficult time, we should look at it through the lens of possibility, not what is, but what is possible with God. Many times, circumstances will cause us to intensify the things of the spirit, like our prayer life and reading of the word; which in turn strengthen our faith and trust in the Lord.

I want you to know that God is able to keep you in the midst of any situation or circumstance that you will ever face. But it will require, that you allow Him to lead and guide you daily.

Please pray with me:
Father, sometimes I can’t understand how you can bring beauty from the ashes of my life. I struggle to trust you with the broken pieces. But you say in your Word that without faith it is impossible to please you, and I want to please you. I want to trust you. I want you to make me more like Jesus and use my trials for my good and your glory. Help me believe your promises in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
